11.45am – Everkyllachy
Low-grade fare but a cracking race of its type with several runners of interest. A Go Go has been thriving in the blinkers, while Kath’s Lustre, Roundabout Magic and Big Time Maybe all have something to recommend them. The pair to appeal most are Equally Fast and EVERKYLLACHY, with marginal preference for the latter on her first run for this up-and-coming stable.
12.15pm – Heath Rise
Wisper has the best piece of form on offer and it’s possible that the return to 1m will see her reproduce it but there are some interesting opponents. Alvarino, Bascule and Ford Madox Brown appeal as likely improvers, while Lady Lucky Leslie is a newcomer of note, but perhaps HEATH RISE will be the answer. He never landed a blow at Kempton on his debut but it was still a fair start and the two horses to finish immediately ahead of him have both won since.
12.50pm – Afraid Of Nothing
With Shimmering Dawn having to prove her effectiveness at this trip, and both Newcaster and the progressive Queen’s Course up in grade, this may well be best left to AFRAID OF NOTHING. Ralph Beckett’s filly should get an easy time of things up front and her form gives her leading claims in any case.
1.25pm – Premier Power (NAP)
This good sprint probably revolves around the topweight PREMIER POWER (nap). He was beaten at short odds by Brian The Snail at Kempton on his handicap debut but that was still a step forward and he should continue to progress as he gains experience. He still has Group-race aspirations and can come out on top. Aberama Gold and Brian The Snail are dangerous opponents but the main threat could come from Merhoob.

2.00pm – Dubai Warrior
Last year’s winner DUBAI WARRIOR readily followed up in the Winter Derby here and bagged another comfortable C&D Listed win last month. He’s a very solid option although C&D Listed winner Bangkok is better than he showed when third in the Winter Derby and could pose more of a threat today. 2019 Royal Ascot winner Sangarius is an intriguing runner on just his second outing since.
2.35pm – Al Zaraqaan
Lack of course experience is a concern, but the 3yo AL ZARAQAAN is unexposed and can complete a hat-trick on his handicap debut. The main danger in a well-contested event could be Pirate King, who goes so well here and probably needed his comeback run at Kempton. Recent Wolverhampton winner Koeman is one of several others to bear in mind.
3.40pm – Three Dragons
Abel Tasman was a close third over C&D last time and finished ahead of Janus and THREE DRAGONS, but they both suffered trouble in running, particularly the last named and this unexposed 3yo is taken to post a first win today. Recent Chelmsford third Famous Dynasty is another to consider, but Abel Tasman is feared most.
