Paddy Power Millionaire Chase: This must be karma after break in says week 3 winner

It's three down and three to go for Paddy's Paddy Power's Millionaire Chase bonanza.

Another Saturday, another €/£10k weekly winner as Geoff from Bootle on Merseyside became the third qualifier for Paddy Power’s Millionaire Chase on New Year’s Day.

Geoff backed the Jonjo O’Neill-trained Cloth Cap (9/1) to win the 3pm at Newbury last Saturday and was then picked out as the €/£10k weekly prize winner in Monday night’s draw on Paddy Power’s Facebook and Twitter channels.

More importantly, Geoff now goes forward with Chris and Carol as one of the finalists in Paddy Power’s Millionaire Chase at Cheltenham on New Year’s Day with the chance to win a million quid. Literally

Paddy broke the good news to Liverpool fan Geoff earlier today, who it turns out needed a bit of good fortune!

PP: When did you hear you won the prize?

I was in the middle of filling out insurance forms because I was broken into last week.  Half of the extension builders’ tools were nicked and they also stole my ‘nearly new’ golf clubs  – I play off 12 officially, but 6 on a good day! I couldn’t believe it after such a sh*t week. I’m currently spending every penny of my savings on a big extension.  Paddy’s phone call was timely to say the least – it must be karma!

PP: Why did you pick Cloth Cap?

I only have the odd dabble on the horses and thought I was bang out of luck with Liverpool letting me down in their 1-1 draw with Brighton in the early game against Brighton on Saturday. The only sniff of a winner I had all day was Cloth Cap, It’s unreal. He’s won me £10k at least with Saturday’s qualifier win and the chance of landing the £1m jackpot on New Year’s Day at Cheltenham in the Paddy Power Millionaire Chase sweepstake.

PP: What will you do with the money?

After the week I’ve had, it’ll all be going into the extension. The guarantee of £10k was my biggest ever win anyway! Even if I don’t win the £1m on New Year’s Day, I’ve still had a result.

What advice would you give for next Saturday’s race at Sandown?
