The first major golf event of the year is finally here as the world’s top players return to the Augusta National Golf Club for the Masters.
Viewed as the most prestigious event in golf, the annual event at the famous Augusta course sees the best of the best compete to get their hands on the coveted green jacket.
John Rahm is the defending champion and the Spaniard is looking to become just the fourth player ever to win back-to-back Masters but faces some tough competition.
Along with the green jacket and a lifetime invite to future editions, the winner receives a hefty chunk of the prize pot.
Last year, the fund was worth $18 million and Rahm earned $3.2million of that for winning the whole tournament, but how much is up for grabs this time?

Masters 2024 prize money
Last year the prize money was the highest in the competition’s history, with a pot of $18million divided out at the end of the final round. This included over $1million for each the top three, with the winner receiving $3.2million.
