15:00 Southwell – Emaculate Soldier (Telegraph)
High Order tackles an easier task than at Newmarket recently, where he didn’t go down without a fight after making the running, albeit in a muddling race, but EMACULATE SOLDIER has already proved himself over this C&D and is entitled to come on plenty for his encouraging return from nearly a year off. Newcomer Dancing Highlander is worth a market check but the others are probably aiming for handicaps shortly.
15:15 Ayr – Bustaam (Daily Mirror)
There is probably still more to come from low-mileage 4yo BUSTAAM, who impressed when winning on last month’s seasonal debut and was not discredited when second on his latest outing. He gets the vote ahead of Powerful Response, who has also made a good start to this season. Roll It In Glitter, Fiver Friday and Gainsbourg also make the shortlist.
16:34 Windsor – Chiedozie (Daily Mail)
Topweight CHIEDOZIE holds solid claims and is taken to open his account. He’s from a good family and remains open to further improvement. Bint Havana Gold (second choice) ties in with the selection, while unexposed Dark Dreamer and in-form Split The Profit are others for the shortlist.
18:00 Wolverhampton – Cluedo (Daily Express)
Make Clear has form figures of 2121 in her last four starts and she’s respected along with the other Irish raider Pro Bono Alexander, who was a good second in her bid for a double at Dundalk last time. Nariko could find more progress back in trip, while Rosy Affair needs a close look on her handicap debut but the vote goes to CLUEDO. Henry Candy’s well-bred filly really kicked on again with her comfortable win over C&D in October and is a big player if she can pick up where she left off.
