Eoin Kelly: The day I lifted the Liam MacCarthy Cup to realise my dream

From zero to hero in the space of a year.

It was Tipperary’s 2010 All Ireland victory that allowed Eoin Kelly to live out his boyhood dream of lifting the Liam MacCarthy Cup as captain of his county.

The Premier County had been beaten by the Cats a year earlier, but harnessed that hurt to be crowned All Ireland champions by beating Brian Cody’s side 12 months later. .

Ahead of Sunday’s All-Ireland decider, Kelly – who is a Paddy Power News GAA columnist for the 2019 season – details the emotion and pride he felt from captaining his side that famous day.
