WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!

Newcastle will fancy their chances against anyone at the moment. It’s the way they’re playing as well, not just the results, they’re attractive to watch and they’re good defensively. It’s all positive for Newcastle which is such a contrast to last season and you can see them getting a result against Chelsea, especially at home.

Graham Potter had a good start, I liked the things he was doing. I don’t think they’ve found the style or personnel with which he wants to play at the moment, there’s a lot of chopping and changing. The Brighton game was a huge issue and was the catalyst for some poor performances.

They’ve still got a tremendous amount of quality and I still like Potter as a manger. That’s why this is an intriguing game, there’s a lot of quality on show but if you were a betting man you’d have to side with Newcastle.

Newcastle have got a lot of attacking talent so I think there will be goals in this one. Miguel Almiron’s problem was end product but he’s just added that to his game now.

He’s always been a threat with his pace and talent on the ball. He’s scoring goals, he’s creating and he’s looking like a real threat. It’s an amazing turnaround because he was starting to become a figure of fun but now he’s banging in the goals and he’s got his confidence back.

It’s been an amazing turnaround for Arsenal. I like the way Mikel Arteta goes about his business. He was getting a bit of stick but I always thought, ‘Stick with him’. He’s been making the right decisions and I like the way he handled Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

They’ve got a good young side now with the likes of Gabriel Jesus, Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka. They’re a huge threat with all that pace. Wolves have got threats as well but I don’t think they’ve got enough to get something against Arsenal. I think they could open up here and win something like 3-1.

I think Jesus has been the catalyst for Arsenal’s form. I remember speaking to Aaron Ramsdale and he said as soon as they signed him and Oleksandr Zinchenko the levels in training just went up with the title-winning mentality they brought in.

A lot of Arsenal’s good form has come courtesy of Jesus but he does need to score more goals. I think they might be hitting Wolves on the break in this game and Saka and Martinelli will be key in that.

Wolves will be trying to impress Julen Lopetegui even if he’s not actually in place yet, but they’re not a team that picks up loads of cards. It’s a match between two footballing teams. I don’t think there will be loads of bookings in this.
