Odds slashed on Alan Pardew to Stoke City following surge of bets

Stoke’s players better get their dancing shoes ready!

Paddy Power have been forced to chop the odds on Alan Pardew taking over at Stoke – from 33/1 to 5/2 favourite.

It comes after a rush of bets on Pardew, who has been out of management since a spell at West Brom, succeeding Nathan Jones as The Potters sit bottom with two points from their opening nine games.

He now leads the betting, followed by David Moyes (3/1), Chris Hughton (3/1) and Tony Pulis (10/1).

Asked about the move spokesman Paddy Power said: “It looks as though Alan Pardew could be set for a return to management – with a huge surge in betting on him to join The Potters Tuesday afternoon.

“He’s rocketed into favourite for the job, overtaking the previous favourite David Moyes. It looks like Stoke fans could be in for a treat.”
