Slavisa Jokanovic odds-on favourite to be next Forest manager

He may not have pulled up any trees at Fulham this season, but Slavisa Jokanovic's Championship cred could see him working with Forest very soon...

Following reports that Aitor Karanka has left Nottingham Forest, we’ve priced up who his replacement may be.

Slavisa Jokanovic is the early 4/6 odds-on favourite, after losing his job at Fulham in November last year, and reportedly turning down the chance to succeed Gary Rowett at Stoke.

Next up in the betting is Martin O’Neill at 6/1 – around eight times less likely than Jokanovic – followed by David Moyes (9/1), Carlos Carvalhal (9/1) and Nigel Clough (10/1).

Forest, who are currently seventh in the Championship, are 2/1 to make the top six, and odds-on 2/9 to finish in the top half of the table.

Our own head honcho Paddy Power said: “Aitor Karanka has asked to be released from his contract after weeks of speculation surrounding the future of his job. Which seems bizarre, considering Forest are only four points off the play-offs.

“Slavisa Jokanovic is our odds-on favourite for the role after turning down the opportunity to go to Stoke.”
