There’s no other way of putting it, last night’s England World Cup Qualifier against Slovenia was an utterly terrible watch.
For 94 minutes the Three Lions floundered in every attempt to break down an extremely spirited, but limited Slovenian side in front of a very sparse crowd at Wembley.
Thankfully, captain for the night Harry Kane then popped up with a winner to rescue an otherwise awful night for Gareth Southgate’s men, who qualified for the 2018 World Cup thanks to the victory.
Such was the boredom of those few that did attend, that they actually resorted to making paper aeroplanes to keep themselves entertained.
Filming the planes England fan Andy Houston managed to catch the epic moment one of them landed in Joe Hart’s goal and finally provided fans with a moment to cheer for. Watch it for yourself below:
