Sunday evening doesn’t mean the end of the weekend, it means the start of another barrage of football from all across Europe when has been sent specifically to keep us entertained. This Sunday is no different and it’s the French, Italian and Spanish top flights obliging.

We’ve got Marseille v Clermont Foot in Ligue 1 as well as Udinese v Lazio in Serie A at 7.45pm. 15 minutes later Athletic Bilbao face Real Sociedad in La Liga so there’s some top action to close Sunday.
I’ve studied the form, crunched the numbers and checked which way the wind’s blowing to serve up a tasty treble with, hopefully, some winning value. There’s no time to waste so let’s see what I’ve found.

7.45pm: Marseille v Clermont Foot – Marseille Win & BTTS
TV: BT Sport 3
Marseille will be expecting a dominant win over 15th placed Clermont Foot as they look to continue their forlorn fight for the title. The hosts are 13 points behind leaders Paris St-Germain in 2nd with 24 games played. Clermont will be more concerned about their own plight, they’re just three points clear of the drop zone.
Clermont have won two of their last five, losing the other three, tasting defeat last time out. Marseille have been far busier of late and have had Europa Conference League and French Cup matches to contend with in their last five. In all competitions their record is won three and lost two, in just league action it’s won three drawn one, lost one.
The problem here, from a betting point of view, is that Marseille are only mid-table in the home table, but Clermont are poor on the road and are 4th bottom in the away equivalent. I think the value might be in backing Marseille to Win and Both Teams To Score.
Clermont have scored in each of their last three Ligue 1 games while conceding in four of their last five. The hosts have found the net in 11 straight league matches, conceding in four of their last live. Both attacks are in decent nick and there’s certainly room for improvement in their defences. We have to be on the home side so Marseille to Win and Both Teams to Score has a great chance at a nice price.
7.45pm: Udinese v Lazio – Over 2.5 Goals

Serie A’s form team, Lazio, travel to Udinese promising more goals. The side from the capital are the Italian top flight’s second-top scorers with a whopping 52 goals in 25 games. Lazio are 6th in the league while Udinese are down in 15th with just a three-point cushion between themselves and the drop zone.
These two shared a 4-4 draw in their first meeting in the league in December but Lazio triumphed 1-0 in a Coppa Italia tie last month. We backed Over 2.5 Goals in Lazio’s Europa League clash with Porto during the week and they didn’t disappoint.
Buoyed by that I think we can side with goals again here and I’m surprised at the generous odds Paddy’s offering up on Over 2.5 Goals. For our away side it’s clicked in 11 of their last 12 Serie A matches. Udinese are a little more reserved and it’s landed in five of their last nine.
8pm: Athletic Bilbao v Real Sociedad
TV: LaLiga TV
We finish in Spain where Athletic Bilbao in 8th are looking to hunt down Real Sociedad in 6th and the final Europa league spot. Four points separate the two sides heading into this one and it’s vital that the home side win as their visitors have a game in hand over them.
Looking at the stats the most-likely winning bet in this one is Under 2.5 Goals but Paddy’s trusty traders know this and it’s too short to back. It’s two low-scoring attacks coming up against two solid defences.
Sociedad have scored the 5th-lowest tally of goals and Bilbao the 8th lowest in the league. However, they 3rd and 4th respectively when it comes to keeping the goals out and both have only let in 21.
Both Teams To Score? No has clicked all four of the away side’s most recent La Liga matches and 10 of their last 13 going further back. For Bilbao it’s two of their last four and seven of their last 13. With it clicking over 50% of the time for them and over 75% of the tome for Sociedad that’s our best bet at a reasonable price.
