Manchester United may not have set the world alight in their 0-0 draw with Liverpool, but it wasn’t exactly a bad performance and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s can count themselves somewhat unfortunate not to have come away from Anfield with three points. United certainly had the best chances in an otherwise dull game on Sunday, but a point at Anfield is nothing to be sneered at and it extends United’s fine unbeaten away run in the league to 16 games.

They are yet to lose a league game on the road since the arrival of Bruno Fernandes last January, winning 12 and drawing four in a remarkable run of results. They are even starting to correct some of the defensive mishaps that forced them to come from behind in many of their early season away wins and have now kept two clean sheets in their last two games away from Old Trafford.

Manchester United to Win

However, they face tricky opposition in Fulham on Wednesday and will have to be at their best to retain their place at the top of the table. Fulham’s league position belies their recent performances, and they could easily string a run of results together in the coming weeks.

Scott Parker’s side were unbeaten in five league games before their narrow defeat to Chelsea and even though all five of those games were draws, they impressed against some of the top teams in the league, including Spurs and Liverpool. They will be a tough nut to crack for Solskjaer’s men but they just about get over the line with a Manchester United Win.

Mason Greenwood to score anytime

With an FA Cup tie against Liverpool coming up at the weekend, Solskjaer is likely to wring the changes against Fulham on Wednesday night and could give the likes of Marcus Rashford and Bruno Fernandes a much-needed rest. He may well turn to Edinson Cavani and Mason Greenwood in their place and Greenwood will have a point to prove after a relatively disappointing season so far.

The youngster has failed to kick on from his scintillating campaign last year and has only scored three goals in all competitions, but he arguably remains the most lethal finisher at United. Given a start he could inflict serious damage on Fulham and we could see Greenwood Score Anytime.

Both teams to score? No

Fulham have improved dramatically at the back over the past two months, but they still struggle to score goals. The Cottagers have drawn blanks in four of their last seven games in the league and perhaps lack the firepower to really cause teams problems.

Granted, they created chances against both Tottenham and Chelsea, but Tottenham invited pressure by sitting back, while Chelsea seem to offer several gilt-edged chances to every team they face. Even with those chances, Fulham were wasteful and rued the inconsistency of Ivan Cavaleiro in front of goal.

United, meanwhile, have been much stronger at the back since the turn of the year and the return of Eric Bailly seems to have created healthy competition amongst United’s centre backs. They could record a third consecutive clean sheet on the road on Wednesday and see Both Teams To Score? No land.

Under 2.5 goals

While United certainly carry a goal threat, they have found goals hard to come by in recent games. The Red Devils have scored just two goals in their last four games in all competitions, while they have scored just four in their last four league games.

Facing a stubborn Fulham side, they are unlikely to run riot on Wednesday night. None of Fulham’s last seven Premier League games have produced three goals or more, while three of those games have produced one goal or less.

They will almost certainly set up with a back five, making it difficult for United to break them down and creating a similar game to United’s meeting with Burnley last week. Under 2.5 Goals is a nice way to round off our Bet Builder for this game.
