Huddersfield to beat Barnsley at is the best bet of the weekend. David Wagner’s men have made a cracking start to this season’s championship campaign so far, beating Brentford and Newcastle, before drawing away to Aston Villa on Tuesday night.
The shrewd money seems to be piling in for them in each fixture so far and we expect this to continue at the weekend when they host Barnsley. Nakhi Wells scored 17 goals in the Championship last season but only made a substitutes appearance on Tuesday due to apparent interest from Newcastle, but that’s only a small concern.
Barnsley had a decent result at home to Derby on Saturday (2-0) and then followed it up with another home win against QPR in midweek (3-2) but the Tykes leaked goals in their only other away fixture this season. They lost 4-2 against an average Ipswich side and have since lost their main threat in Sam Winnall to a hamstring injury.
Expect Huddersfield to oblige here and look value at the current prices.
