Premier League Darts: Throw yourself into this 5/1 double tonight

Arrow your way to this delightful double as Darts’ elite go toe-to-toe in Nottingham later this evening…

For anyone interested in backing some big, sweaty animals with two legs this week, the Premier League sees us travel to Nottingham for Night Six of this year’s competition.

One of the night’s big contests will be on the match-up featuring the quirky, Austrian arrower Mensur Suljovic and World Darts champion Rob Cross.

Cross is yet to perform to the electric standards we saw at the World Championships at Ally Pally, but he has managed to scrape a couple of results together the last two weeks, with wins over Michael Smith and Simon Whitlock.

Suljovic on the other hand has been playing some fantastic darts, boasting the best tournament checkout percentage and second best average (Michael van Gerwen has the best). That’s why we fancy the Austrian to spring a small surprise on the world champ tonight at 12/5.

Elsewhere, Daryl Gurney takes on surprise Premier League high-flyer Simon Whitlock as the Northern Irishman looks to pull himself out of the elimination zone.

Whitlock was almost Usain Blot like out of the blocks in this year’s competition, impressively picking off the likes of Mensur Suljovic, Rob Cross and Raymond van Barneveld in the first three weeks. However, back-to-back losses to table toppers Michael Smith and van Gerwen have halted that progress for the moment.

Gurney for his part, has yet to manage a victory and only has a measly three draws to show for his efforts.

SuperChin has really struggled with his finishing of late as well, so Whitlock to score the Highest Checkout at Evens looks a more than a decent bet when they step up to the oche later.
