Peintre D’Etoiles and State Secretary are unexposed 3yos with the potential to do better but the pair to appeal most are Jewel Maker and END ZONE (nap). The former drops in grade off a dangerous mark but End Zone is thriving on Tapeta of late and his latest close Newcastle third was backed up by the clock.
Unexposed compared to most of these, the 3yo filly ARADENA may take the drop in trip in her stride and follow up last month’s course success. Silk Tie is building up a solid record at Wolverhampton and is second choice. A market move for the stable switcher City Escape would be noteworthy.
Andrew Balding’s MAY NIGHT did well to win from his mid-race position at Kempton and he’s well handicapped off 2lb higher. Wizard D’Amour and Vitalline were close up and both need respecting, as does Hazel and one or two others.
The strongest credentials belong to C&D winner SYMBOL OF LIGHT and he’s taken to defy his penalty. Enforced has to be of interest and State Legend should go well, though an absence of two months is a little off-putting.
Security Code is an interesting newcomer but both ASEAN LEGEND and Yantarni shaped with serious promise on their respective debuts and can fight this out. The penny dropped in the final furlong for Yantarni at Newmarket and he is greatly respected but Asean Legend could be open to even greater improvement.

Quite an interesting contest with several of the eight runners having something to recommend them. Monsaraz is handicapped to go very well if seeing out the trip, while Captain Haddock and Moliwood also come right into the reckoning. POTENZA still has potential as a stayer though and he can win for the fourth time in his last five starts.
The progressive Sovereign Slipper hasn’t been done any favours by the draw but he’s still greatly respected in his hat-trick bid. Good Earth is handicapped to beat him on earlier Kempton form and he’s a possible on his stable debut. Don’t give up on Golden Dragon just yet, while Camachess and Gustav Graves also have something to recommend them. That said, this may be the day that GOWANLAD returns to form and he can build on a more encouraging display at Newcastle last month.
Jungle Run, Fast Beauty, Cheese The One and Petal Power all have something to recommend them but there didn’t appear to be any fluke about the Newcastle win registered by DAJARUS 18 days ago and she can follow up despite a 5lb rise.
