17:15 Dundalk – Dinamine

Dinamine put up a good performance on its first try for this stable over a furlong shorter, staying on quite eye-catchingly in the closing stages having been posted wide the whole way around. He’s better drawn here in stall seven now and the step up in trip is going to suit. He is definitely flying under the radar and is no back number.

NEW TO PADDY POWER?

17:45 Dundalk – Guild

Guild put up a tidy performance over course and distance two starts back in real gutsy fashion and was just undone by a wide run having never really got into a good rhythm. He’s reunited with the winning rider Chris Hayes who seems to hold the key to him and doesn’t look as if he’s at his ceiling rating at the moment. The trip and track are all in his favour.

18:30 Kempton – Victory

Victory is a lightly-raced runner from the Alan King team who are in decent form. He was posted wide and didn’t get  much room late in the day last time out at Kempton, but is in a handy position towards the inside now from stall two and doesn’t look harshly treated of a mark of 70. It’s always a pain when you are nudged up the handicap without winning, but it obviously was an unlucky run last time.

19:00 Kempton – Sleeping Lion

Sleeping Lion has not had too many tries for the Roger Charlton outfit, but did make a winning reappearance over this course and distance for the team. He is building a pretty solid all-weather profile and he should not be underestimated coming back here. Sometimes he can make it difficult for himself, because he races very keenly early on, but it’s a small field and that means even if he sits last, he’s not going to be giving too much ground away in the run.

19:15 Dundalk – Pro Bono

Pro Bono impressed last time out here, travelling ominously well and it was only a matter of time until rider Chris Hayes pushed the button. He’s not one of the stables leading lights, but he’s quite clearly effective in this ballpark and doesn’t look too harshly punished with a slight nudge up the handicap. He should deliver in the lucky last!

20:00 Kempton – Mutasallem

Originally Mutasallem was a €240,000 purchase as a yearling but his trainer bought him for just 7,000 Guineas six runs later, so he would stay in training with him. He is a low-mileage improver and will need to step up against some in-form rivals, but that’s a distinct possibility. He doesn’t look like he’s reached his full potential just yet. With a bit of luck he may  start at an attractive price.
