Sligo 13:35 – Revoluteme
Revoluteme has had three runs in maidens so far, the most recent being a decent third over 5f at Cork. Her trainer Jonny Murtagh is having an excellent season and has done really well with horses having their first run in handicaps.
Revoluteme starts off on a rating of 72 and would appreciate any rain overnight as she will handle give in the ground. Her profile suggests that he can leave his opening mark behind and win a couple of races this season, starting on Friday.
Sligo 15.55 – Red Line Alexander
Red Line Alexander is trained by Paddy Twomey who is also having a good year and this fella had two runs in the UK last year for Simon Crisford. He won a maiden quite snugly at Ballinrobe over 1m 2f on his second start for the Co. Tipperary trainer and takes a step up in trip to 1m 4f on Friday.
Some of her rivals are a bit more exposed and this filly can improve again on her handicap debut.
Sligo 16:30 – Arcland
Only reappeared in July at the Curragh last month and was Arcland was a beaten favourite (3/1f) at Leopardstown last time over 1m 4f. He raced keenly that and was run down into fourth late on behind Full Moon Magic.
Sligo’s tighter track may help and if they can hold onto him a little longer and kick for home at the bend, he should take a lot of beating.
