Bali Body, number one on the card, is one I like. He was bought by current connections after finishing second in a point-to-point in Ireland last March. The form of that point-to-point has worked out quite well with the winner going on to do decent things over hurdles in Ireland since. This doesn’t look an overly strong novice hurdle. Bali Body’s ready to go and I think he’ll go very close in this.
Top weight Le Breuil looks the class angle in the race to me. He ran a very solid race in the Beacher Chase at Aintree last time over the Grand National fences. He finished third that day and he just scrapes into this race. It’s 0-140 and he just gets in off a mark of 140.
It’s going to be real test of stamina as most of these Nationals are, so I think that should suit him. He’s quite a while without winning but I think he can get back to winning ways here as the class angle in this race.

I taught Flamboyant Joyaux stood out most to me. He’s been running well enough over fences recently without getting his head in front, but dropping back over hurdles looks a wise move given the fact that he was still progressing when last seen over the smaller obstacles.
So, it’s a horse that’s in form and was second last time out over fences, being dropped back over hurdles shouldn’t cause a problem. I think he’ll run really well.
