Bournemouth v Man City, Saturday 5:30pm
TV: Sky Sports Main Event, Sky Sports Premier League

Man City to Win

It’s a fairly self-explanatory one to kick us off – if City are to reclaim the Premier League title this is a game that they cannot afford to drop points in.

After last weekend’s draw against Forest, and a draw midweek against RB Leipzig, Pep Guardiola will be looking to steady the ship with what should be a takeable three points away at the Vitality Stadium. They have all the tools to make it happen.

Over 2.5 Goals

City alone are averaging 2.5 goals per game. Factoring in the flimsy defence of Bournemouth and some shaky defending by  City in their previous few games and it is entirely reasonable to imagine that we’ll see plenty of goals in this game.

Bournemouth have managed to concede 44 goals so far this season through just 23 games, which any expert will confidently tell you, is not very good.

Kevin de Bruyne, Man City

Erling Haaland to Score 2 or More Goals

After a rip-roaring start to his Premier League career, scoring 26 goals in his first 23 appearances, notching four assists to boot, it’s safe to say he’s caused nothing but nightmares since arriving at the Etihad.

He currently ranks in the 99th percentile in non-penalty goals and non-penalty expected goals despite ranking considerably lower in terms of shots per game. Phenomenal.

Haaland will create havoc for the Cherries defence, and it would be remiss of us to expect anything less. Two goals against what is the weakest defence in the Premier League should be very manageable for the Norwegian giant.

Jack Stephens to be Booked

Stephens looks set to start his third successive game over Welsh centre-back Chris Mepham against City, in what will likely be a centre back pairing with Marcos Senesi. While he ranks highly in terms of his ability to tackle, and despite being over 6ft tall, he ranks in the bottom 2% of defenders in Europe when it comes to winning aerial duels.

This is going to create a mismatch for Stephens as he tries to duel in the air with Haaland. Expect to see a few jersey tugs, pulls and pushes that will accumulate in Stephens getting his name in referee Paul Tierney’s book.

Away Team to Have Under 5.5 Corners

Man City currently average 4.5 corners per game in total, and have only had over 5.5 corners in 25% of their away games. When you see under 5.5 at that sort of value, and take the numbers into account, it makes sense to try and add in here.
