If there’s one event that can ‘Trump’ what’s going on at the White House it’s the Oscars.
Yep, that’s right folks, the biggest awards ceremony in the Tinsel Town calendar is just around the corner and following today’s nominations we’ve released the latest betting.
And according to the odds, La La Land starring the dishy Ryan Gosling and the gorgeous Emma Stone looks set repeat its record-breaking clean-up act at the Golden Globes.
La La Land director Damien Chazelle is the bookies favourite to win the Best Director award, but Ryan Gosling is only 3rd favourite (8/1) to land the Best Actor award – with Casey Affleck the odds-on favourite for his role in Manchester by the Sea (1/4).

The Academy Awards have come in for heavy criticism in recent years for their lack of diversity, but 2017 sees a deserving list of black actors nominated for awards.
We’re offering 1/50 for any black actor to pick up an award at this year’s ceremony, with Mahershala Ali odds-on to claim Best Supporting Actor, and Denzel Washington a 4/1 poke to win the Best Actor award for Fences.
Hollywood’s finest – including Streep – have used the stage to take a pop at newly-elected President Donald Trump and the bookie offers short odds of 5/4 for any winner to take a swipe at Trump during their acceptance speech.
Asked about the Oscar nominations spokesman Paddy Power said: “After scooping a record-breaking seven Golden Globes, La La Land looks set to clean up at the Oscars.”
“Meryl Streep is unlikely to be performing an acceptance speech this time round, so she’ll have to leave abusing Donald Trump to one of the other winners – which shouldn’t be a problem.”
