Snooker Tips: Our trader’s four to score in today’s Championship League action

It’s all eyes on Ronnie today… but the value is elsewhere.

Ronnie O'Sullivan

The Championship League snooker has reached the last 16 with four groups of four in round robin format to be played today and tomorrow. Groups C and D are being played today and the action is live on ITV4 all day from 2.50pm. The winner of each group will advance to the final group to be played on Thursday.

The TV cameras will be concentrating on the O’Sullivan group today and our trader thinks it could be worth siding with Harvey Chandler to beat Sam Craigie, and Stuart Bingham to also beat Craigie in the individual match betting.

The Rocket was in top form in the opening phase. He looks in desperate need of a barber but in a group that looks top heavy he’s very hard to oppose. In fact, Stuart Bingham hasn’t beaten Ronnie O’Sullivan in their last five head to heads going back to 2015.  Sam Craigie impressed in the opening phase but we feel it could be profitable to oppose him against Bingham and Chandler in this group.

The other group in play today looks wide open. Martin O’Donnell put half the TV viewers asleep yesterday when taking three hours to play one of his matches. It meant that play went on until nearly 1am. He did play some very solid stuff though and we think he could outplay his odds again today, beating both Ben Woollaston and Liang Wenbo.

Snooker tips in summary for today’s Championship League action

Harvey Chandler to beat Sam Craigie @ 7/2
Stuart Bingham to beat Sam Craigie @ EVS
Martin O’Donnell to beat Ben Woollaston @ 23/10
Martin O’Donnell to beat Liang Wenbo @ 10/3
