A tight opener in which a victory for any of the trio would come as no surprise. BRIEF TIMES is the one with chasing experience behind him and he may need further than 2m now. Whydah Gally is bred to do well in this discipline and he’s feared most.
13:10 -Grozni
This looks an enterprising piece of placing by the ultra-shrewd Irish trainer Charles Byrnes as GROZNI should take some beating even with his penalties. It’s hard to know what Heaven Smart achieved here last time but he’s feared most ahead of Scamallach Liath, whose point win earlier this year looks all the better now.
13:40 -Wajaaha
Irish challenger WAJAAHA, who has Grade 3 form, looks difficult to oppose in this weak seller on his first hurdles start for two years. City Derby is next best on the figures, ahead of China Princess.
14:10 – Le Coeur Net
This is trappy as all four are potentially well handicapped and tactics will be key as Darebin, Tap Tap Boom and Dame Du Soir all enjoy leading. It might just set up nicely for LE COEUR NET, who has a very solid record around here and he’s won this race before without the benefit of a run. Darebin is next best.
14:40 – Storm Hill (NAP)
There appeared to be plenty of confidence behind STORM HILL (NAP) on his handicap debut at Warwick only to crash out mid-race. This course winner is probably on a lucrative mark. Baddesley comes into it on his best efforts and Henschke very nearly won on his reappearance here last season.

15:10 – Largy Nights
This could be hard work for all of them. It wasn’t pretty when LARGY NIGHTS won at Stratford but this is clearly his sort of race. The visor could help Blade Runner who was laboured throughout when finishing second here last time and he’s second choice. Game Line stays all day but doesn’t always give his running, while Mr Washington has yet to convince as a chaser.
15:40 – The Tin Miner
Universal Island did well to finish third here last time after pulling hard but that has to be a concern once more and preference is for THE TIN MINER, who can be relied upon to give his true running even back from a break.
