13:45 – Pop Star

Those that have run don’t set much of a standard and it might be worth taking a chance on the unraced POP STAR who is speedily bred. The yard’s newcomers tend to improve plenty for their first outing, but they are enjoying a good season with their juveniles and he might be worth siding with in a race that looks open. Ocean Jewel is another well-bred newcomer that warrants respect and Sioux Spirit should progress from her debut last month.

14:20 – Lasmuigh

Only just denied over C&D on her handicap debut, LASMUIGH can cope with an extra 4lb in this rematch with fourth-placed Camilla Gherardini, runner-up at Sligo since then. Top weight Reinforce has been consistent in maidens and should reach the money again.

14:55 – Goodnight Girl

A few have claims but GOODNIGHT GIRL (nap) makes most appeal after a solid run in a more competitive handicap last time. Sarah Lynam’s filly goes well at this venue and the yard do particularly well with their sprinters. Sister Rosetta should be involved if she can back up last week’s success at Naas but she hasn’t been the most consistent.

15:30 – Harry Time

Mauiewowie looks like a nice prospect for Ger Lyons and she will probably be prominent in the market. However, at a likely bigger price it might be worth taking a chance on HARRY TIME who has shaped like he will appreciate a drop back in trip in his two runs over 6f in Britain and he ought to go well for a yard that excel with their juveniles.

16:05 – Luxembourg

Providing he comes through this test as expected, the Classic-placed former juvenile Group 1 winner LUXEMBOURG will be challenging for top honours in the final month of the season. He can ease his way back towards a peak of form by seeing off the 107-rated pair Georgeville and Insinuendo.

16:40 – Temple Of Artemis

Search For A Song would take plenty of beating if she was on her A-game here but she was below her best when last seen and with the yard quieter than usual, she might be worth taking on. Raise You is the main form rival but he comes with risks attached having developed issues with the starting stalls in two runs this term. It might be worth taking a chance on his stablemate TEMPLE OF ARTEMIS who has a fair bit to find but he’s been freshened up since his Chester win and should give a good account with the step up in trip likely to suit.

17:15 – Bayou Belle

Having shown improvement since stepping up to 1m, BAYOU BELLE gets a hopeful vote to open her account, perhaps at the main expense of Reverberation, third in this race last year and in fair form lately. Heer At Dawn, The Pargey Bee and Aristovic also make plenty of appeal.

17:50 – Ducky Mallon

The veteran DUCKY MALLON is a dual C&D winner and has a realistic chance after a very encouraging return to action at Sligo. He may uphold that form with Ever Rock and Lion Ring, whose trainer Denis Hogan saddles four runners here. Best of them is possibly Royal Tribute, despite a fear that the trip is on the sharp side for him. Shabaaby is dropped in class and should go well.
