18:01 – Tralee Hills
TRALEE HILLS was an impressive winner of this race last year, scoring by five and a half lengths, and he is worth siding with to follow up. Tralee Hills has run creditably on all three starts this term and has been given a hand by the assessor who has dropped him 2 lb since his latest outing at Lingfield. He is now only 1 lb above his last winning mark and is proven around this tricky course, so he ought to launch a bold bid.

18:36 – Self Praise
Beaten at a very short price at Newmarket last time, but he was probably just unfortunate to bump into a promising newcomer and SELF PRAISE can belatedly get off the mark here. Self Praise caught the eye with the late headway he made when runner-up in the Woodcote Stakes at this venue on his penultimate start and he wasn’t disgraced at Newmarket, despite failing to get the job done. He sets the clear standard and this looks like an excellent opportunity.
19:11 – Pocket The Profit
This horse enjoyed a productive campaign last term, winning four times in the space of 14 days last October. POCKET THE PROFIT returned with a decisive victory at Pontefract in April, and while he has failed to score in four subsequent outings he has had some excuses, including when sixth in a seven-furlong handicap here four weeks ago. Pocket The Profit was slowly into stride and held up out wide, which left him with a hopeless task, but he finished well, leaving the impression that he’s up to defying his current mark when things fall right.

19:45 – Larado
LARADO was below his best on his first couple of starts this year but he took a big step in the right direction when fifth over the extended mile here four weeks ago, faring best of those who raced prominently, only weakening close home. He built on that promise when narrowly denied at Salisbury last week, running as well as he ever has and losing out by just a nose, and he can gain a measure of compensation off the same mark here.
20:15 – Urban Violet
Had excuses when making little impact on her reappearance – she was repeatedly hampered – but URBAN VIOLET fared much better at Yarmouth three weeks ago, finishing runner-up. Urban Violet was caught further back than ideal but kept on well close home to get to within a head of the winner, leaving the impression that she is ready to take advantage of a lenient mark. She is still 1 lb below her last winning mark.

20:50 – Myriad
MYRIAD raised his game when runner-up at Wolverhampton on his penultimate outing, chasing home a subsequent winner, and he ran to a similar level when not beaten far in fourth at Salisbury last time. He has relatively few miles on the clock so makes appeal taking on older and more exposed rivals.
