13:30 Chester – Sunday Sovereign

SUNDAY SOVEREIGN has proved a little bit tricky to catch right but Rob Hornby who was successful when aboard at this meeting last year is back on again for the first time. They’ve been handed a favourable stall position as well. He was caught out on a wing up in Scotland when he returned to action and that would’ve put him spot-on for today’s contest which looks to be the target.

14:05 Chester – Koy Koy

KOY KOY bumped into a really good type in Saga at Ascot on his second start and then made no mistake on his third try at Newbury for an explosive wide margin success. Admittedly, it’s a little bit of a guessing game as to whether he is well treated with a rating of 90, but those around him so far have done the form no harm so he could of been letting lightly.

14:40 Chester – Dubai Poet

DUBAI POET looked an absolute picture in the prelims up at Newcastle for his return and ran a solid second that left the definite impression that he would improve a good chunk for the outing. Back on the turf is a positive and a step up in distance looks absolutely ideal from a pedigree point of view. Star of India will be popular but surely he’s going to want in excess of this trip further down the line.

15:10 Chester – Albaflora

Towards the back end of last season ALBAFLORA ran in some very competitive Group One contests and wasn’t disgraced at all. However, it was her return to action in Listed company last year that was her most impressive performance, so her ability to go well fresh is a massive positive. They’re bound to get a good gallop here with some solid opposition. That should give her the ideal tow into the contest and she can pick them up in the short straight.

15:40 Chester – Diderot

DIDEROT made a big impression on his first start for the new James Ferguson stable and has continued to run well in defeat since bumping into the very-highly rated My Oberon at Southwell on the all-weather. He returns to the turf on a 6lb lower rating and takes what looks the correct decision of a step up in distance as well. The form around him has been boosted since and despite carrying top weight he looks to have been given an ideal opportunity by the assessor.
