PARTY ON GIRL got on top near the finish in C&D event last Saturday, building on her Kempton debut promise. She may well improve further and commands respect under 5lb penalty on first run against her own sex.

14:12 Wetherby – Fransham (Steve Mullington)

FRANSHAM has a record of 5-7 in completed starts at Wetherby, including a success in November. Was still going okay when unseating rider four out in the Castleford Chase next time. Will be a big player back down in grade, granted a clear round.

14:40 Kempton – Up For Parol (The Guardian)

Beaten favourite over fences two starts ago, UP FOR PAROL was suited by the return to hurdles at Haydock latest. That took his record in this sphere to 3-5 and is shaping as if he’ll be suited by this longer distance. He’s open to further improvement.

14:47 Wetherby – Solo Saxophone (Morning Star, Farringdon)

SOLO SAXOPHONE is 9-34 under rules with four of those wins coming over hurdles. He scored on the Flat in October and made an encouraging reappearance when second of eight over C&D the following month.
