Five of these met at Newcastle two weeks ago and all of them can be given a chance of sorts, but from a different form line THE ATTORNEY (nap) makes some appeal after his Leicester win was boosted by the runner-up on Sunday. As long as his outside draw does not count against him he may follow up. His old rival Golden Force could be the main threat.

The lightly raced Lankaran is very tempting after his successful handicap debut at Kempton but narrow preference is for BRAINS, who showed the benefit of wind surgery when second at Bath and is well treated on the pick of his AW form. Music To My Ears is another to consider.

This may be the day when everything finally falls into place for SCAMPI who has threatened to win on his last three starts, going down by just a neck and a head at Glorious Goodwood last time. The very reliable Songkran is next on the list, followed by Lydford. Irish challenger Powerful Aggie is a clear candidate for today’s step up in trip, though, so she could also pose a danger.
