13:00 Libertine Belle
LIBERTINE BELLE was progressing nicely, opening her account at Goodwood, before a lesser run at Newmarket last time, but she’s been allowed more of a break since, so she’s worth chancing to get back to winning ways in a tightly-knit contest. The thriving Buy Me Back is an obvious danger in her hat-trick bid, while Newyorkstateofmind can’t be ignored in his current mood, either.
NEW TO PADDY POWER?
13:35 Dukedom
Several of the newcomers are appealing in this maiden which looks set to throw up winners in the weeks to come, but DUKEDOM shaped like a ready-made future winner when runner-up on debut over this course and distance earlier this month. He was all the rage in the betting, but didn’t get the rub of the green on that occasion, still on the bridle when caught in a pocket and he is open to plenty of improvement. King’s Guard should also make his presence felt, but bigger threats may be posed by likely-looking debutants Majalh, Monet’s Sunrise and Thesis.
14:10 Inspiral
This looks a very interesting listed event and INSPIRAL, who created an excellent impression when a ready winner on debut in a Newmarket maiden last month, is fancied to take this step up in class in her stride. She is bred to be smart and her strength in the finish that day was eye catching, so she is taken to prove too strong for Charlie Appleby’s hat-trick seeking Wild Beauty, who rates much the biggest threat.
14:45 Annandale
There remains an air of unfinished business about ANNANDALE, who wasn’t seen to best effect having his first crack at this sort of trip when third at Chester recently, still having plenty to do two furlongs out and not helped by having to come wide into the straight. There should be more to come from him and he shades the vote over stablemate Roseabad who looks set to give him most to think about.
15:20 Old News
OLD NEWS has fallen 3 lb below his last winning mark and only just failed under this rider at Yarmouth last week, making good headway before being produced to lead, and should go very close again if reproducing that effot. Mr Tyrrell has a similar profile to the selection having gone close off this mark in a class 4 at Newbury on Saturday so looks the obvious threat, with the progressive Run Forrest Run best of the others.

15:55 Andaleep
ANDALEEP landed back-to-back handicaps over this course and distance last year but has failed to fire so far this season. However, as a result, he’s now dropped below his last winning mark and, returning to this venue, he could be interesting with a capable 3 lb claimer taking over from an amateur rider at a price. Sweet Reward has also been in top form over this course and distance and is an obvious threat, along with Civil Law.
16:30 Mowaleda
MOWALEDA hails from a talented family and looks the sort to do better now handicapping for her new stable having caught the eye at Kempton last time. She was beaten only by a couple of promising fillies on that occasion and an opening mark of 70 looks more than fair. Arenas del Tiempo should remain competitive following a 4 lb rise for her Brighton success, while Lady Rockstar is not one to write off now tackling handicap company for the first time given her yard and pedigree.
