13:00 Bonne Vitesse
Dreams Unwind and Rainbow’s Gift come here on the back of improved efforts and need consideration, but BONNE VITESSE is totally unexposed over middle distances and she may be able to step up on her promising recent return at Pontefract.
NEW TO PADDY POWER?
13:30 Fircombe Hall
Hail Sezer should go well back at 6 furlongs, while Gullane One is unpenalised for last week’s course and distance success and is clearly on a good mark. Stronsay and Singe Anglais have claims, but FIRCOMBE HALL won decisively over course and distance on his penultimate start and even his subsequent defeat at Wolverhampton looks solid form. He can go in again. At a big price keep an eye on Tiltilys Rock, whose penultimate run suggested he wasn’t a spent force just yet.
14:05 Gometra Ginty
Lady Celia has been threatening in recent starts and is on the shortlist, with Velocistar and Twist Of Hay also having something to recommend them. GOMETRA GINTY has been in rude health this year though and may be up to defying her latest rise in the weights now back sprinting.
14:40 Obee Jo
Sharrabang is better than he showed here last time and needs taking seriously, while a return to form from Vintage Polly wouldn’t come as a huge surprise. OBEE JO should appreciate this return to 6 furlongs though, and he looks the safest option.
15:15 Noonie
The Mark Johnston-trained NOONIE showed promise when fifth of seven in a warm Newbury novice on last month’s debut and can build on that performance today. Hi Meh Darling may improve for this step up in trip on her third start, but the main threat could come from a newcomer.
The attractively bred Alpine Lady should have staying power over this stiff 7 furlongs and is second choice, while Oppressive and the two Richard Fahey fillies are other debutantes who could go well.
15:50 Party Rebel
The most appealing option is PARTY REBEL, who needs to settle better than she did at Beverley last time but will be hard to beat if able to match the form she showed when going close over course and distance two starts ago. Handicap debutant Polam Lane is open to improvement over a new trip and feared most.
16:25 Noble Crusade
Arthur’s Realm and Broomy Law are closely matched on Ripon running with the latter perhaps open to the greater progress. Alyara needs to improve to defy this mark, but it’s certainly not out of the question. NOBLE CRUSADE ran well on Sunday’s handicap debut though and he gets the tentative vote in a tricky event.
17:00 Detective
The lightly raced five-year-old DETECTIVE (NAP) is firmly on the up in the blinkers and can post his third course win of the campaign. Things didn’t work out for Innse Gall at Haydock a fortnight ago and this unexposed three-year-old could be the chief danger, ahead of last-time-out maiden handicap winner Photograph.
