13:20 Lovely Mana
LOVELY MANA shaped with plenty of promise in a good-looking minor event on debut at Salisbury in May and was then good enough to contest a listed event over course and distance last time. She was about the pick on looks beforehand but just wasn’t up to the task, though she looks the one to beat back down in class. Princess Shabnam heads the dangers of those with previous racecourse experience.
NEW TO PADDY POWER
13:50 Stowell
STOWELL was a big eyecatcher on debut and is starting to build a solid profile, opening his account in a three-runner affair at Ascot on his next start and shaping well up in grade when third in the Queen’s Vase Stakes at the Royal meeting last time. There should be even more to come from him and he is one to keep on the right side with his stamina for this trip proven. Yibir has been mixing it with some of the best middle-distance three-year-olds this season and rates the main threat if seeing out this longer trip.
14:25 Project Dante
Three juvenile races at Royal Ascot are represented here, and preference is for PROJECT DANTE whose close third in the Norfolk Stakes looks the best form on offer. The runner-up that day has gone on to win the Group 2 Railway Stakes at the Curragh since, so the form is already working out, and Project Dante finished his race as though the step up to six furlongs will bring about further improvement. Eldrickjones demands respect on his huge Coventry run, with Aleezdancer one to consider at longer odds.
15:00 Boomshalaa
A case can be made for several of these but much the most persuasive one is for Roger Varian’s BOOMSHALAA who has yet to take a backward step in his four runs and can gain compensation for his narrow Royal Ascot reverse. The return to six furlongs is sure to suit given the way he finished his race off that day and he can resume winning ways before tackling pattern company. Popmaster also has better days ahead of him so is next on the list, with hat-trick seeking Akkeringa another who warrants plenty of respect.
15:35 Al Aasy
AL AASY was only just touched off in the Coronation Cup at Epsom last time, but there is no doubt he remains a Group 1 winner in waiting. He sets a good standard back at the scene of his victory in the Bahrain Trophy at this meeting last summer and should be hard to beat. Highest Ground is the selection for the forecast.

16:10 Baaeed
Though others have achieved a bit more, the manner of BAAEED’s two victories to date have marked him down as a potentially class act, and he has by far the most potential in this field. He confirmed the promise of his debut win when following up under a penalty with consummate ease over course and distance last time, impressively drawing clear inside the final furlong, and he is strongly fancied to take this step up in class in his stride. Maximal demands respect having hit the frame in a Group 1 last time, while Derab is another one to consider dropping back in grade and trip.
16:45 Legendary Day
This looks very competitive but progressive three-year-old LEGENDARY DAY is clearly going the right way now, winning his last two starts in good fashion and he creeps in here right at the bottom of the weights. He appears to be on a steep upward curve and is taken to complete a hat-trick. There are dangers aplenty, though, headed by Path of Thunder, who goes in first-time blinkers, and Migration, who was heavily backed on his return from an absence last time.
