Scottish racing customer plunders Paddy for nearly £5k off £3 stake

This must have been one hell of a Friday feeling.

One of our crafty customers in Scotland was laughing all the way to the back last weekend after taking our bean counters to the cleaners to tune of £4,973. It all came in the space of just over three hours and 40 minutes as our winner – who hails from the Scottish Borders – landed the loot off just a £3.25 stake last Friday.

Our victor correctly called a trio of winners from three tracks in the UK to get the weekend off to the perfect start. It really was one of the most terrific trebles you are likely to see and let’s tell you how it came in:

First up was the 13:45 meeting at Haydock, where AIR RAID was the opening hopeful on our winner’s betslip. The Jedd O’Keeffe gelding went off at a tasty price and didn’t disappoint, even though he was made work all the way for it by a game Lincoln Park. PJ McDonald in the saddle managed the situation perfectly and got Air Raid to the line first by just a nose, but that was enough to get our victor’s punt off to a cracking start.

Next on the hitlist was a trip to Redcar, and our customer needed SASSOON to get the job done in the 15:05. He duty did the business thanks to a smooth passage through the race by jockey Callum Rodriguez and the gelding scooted to victory by 5-and-a-half lengths for trainer Ben Haslam, leaving the second-placed Inner Circle in his wake.

That left just one leg on the top treble and all our victor’s hopes rested on HUNTERS STOP in the 17:25 at Newcastle. Big outsider Khazaf made Nigel Tinkler’s charge work for it, but a great ride from Faye McManoman saw the selection power to the line and win going away by 1-and-three-quarter lengths to send our winner into dreamland.

With that result, the winnings of £4,973 were secured and a wicked weekend was assured. Not bad for a Friday, eh?
