After two good runs here over 7f a return to 1m looks just the ticket for DESERT LAND and having Shane Kelly back aboard is no bad thing. Mr Mac is feared most after winning for a third time over C&D recently, and Sweet Joanna also needs respecting now granted a stiffer test of stamina.
12:25 Sweet Believer
Hidden Breeze sets the standard on her Kempton fourth, though it’s not mindblowing form by any means. A few of these appeal as likely improvers and at odds of only 9-2 SWEET BELIEVER was presumably expected to fare better on her debut at Newmarket, where conditions were desperate for newcomers.
12:55 Molivaliente
This is competitive and should be run at a good clip. Such a scenario will suit MOLIVALIENTE, who usually comes from off the pace and had valid excuses last time after an eyecatching reappearance. John Best’s hand is bolstered by Tipperary Jack and also respected is Little Brown Trout, who is worth a go over 7f.
13:25 Patsy Fagan (NAP)
Obtuse has it in him to lead them a merry dance from the rail draw but PATSY FAGAN (nap) will be suited by the strong pace now back up to 6f and he can gain compensation for some solid recent efforts. Jaffathegaffa raced very wide in the early stages at Wolverhampton recently and did well to finish as close as he did so he should also have a part to play now returned to this trip. Millie’s Angel is preferred of the remainder.
13:55 Trixie Mitskie
Preference is for TRIXIE MITSKIE, who had dropped some way down the weights before her second behind an improver at Chelmsford last month and is a big player off the same mark here. The nursery debutantes Mammasaidknockuout and Decadent are feared most, though there are some other nursery newcomers who need watching in the market including Roger Teal’s Youllovemewheniwin.

14:25 The Lacemaker
Several on the shortlist with narrow preference for THE LACEMAKER who is on a decent mark and should benefit from a recent pipe-opener over 7f, a trip that stretches her. Knockabout Queen is also well handicapped and better than her latest run suggests, while Rainbow Mirage is an unexposed one who cannot be ignored.
14:55 Branwell
Hard to rule out many of these, with several who have excuses for lacklustre latest efforts, are stepping up in trip or are making their nursery debuts. BRANWELL fits the first two categories, and the addition of blinkers is another reason to think he can come out on top. Dr T J Eckleburg is perhaps the most interesting of the nursery debutants.
15:25 Hasty Sailor
The interesting one is handicap debutant HASTY SAILOR, who finished upsides the subsequent improver Ocean Wind here last time. On that form alone he’s a strong candidate, without even factoring in the likelihood of better days ahead for him. Licit ran well last time over too short a trip and she’s feared most, ahead of Rainbird.
