12:15 Hurricane Mitch

Fairly useful in bumpers, HURRICANE MITCH made a positive start to his hurdling career when second at Hereford earlier this month. He was unable to justify market support, arguably down to inexperience, but sticking to his task well. He is open to improvement and gets the vote to beat out C’Est Le Bonheur.

12:46 Arizona Glory

A modest hurdler, ARIZONA GLORY shaped as if still in good form on his chasing debut at Stratford earlier this month. He didn’t really jump well enough to make any impact on the winner, but showing signs of encouragement as he plugged on for fourth. He is 2lbs lower here and, if he can brush up on his jumping a little, he ought to be bang there.

13:16 The Late Legend

THE LATE LEGEND showed improved form to open his account over this course and distance last month, and he progress further to follow up at Huntingdon subsequently, thriving all of a sudden as he landed the odds under a penalty. A sloppy round of jumping put paid to any chances of a hat-trick at the latter track last time, but he is probably best not judged on that effort. He appeals as very much the type to bounce back to form.

13:46 Minella Drama

A runner-up in two Irish points, MINELLA DRAMA produced a promising first effort under Rules when again finding just one too good at Bangor last time. He just no match for the winner though, who put up a fairy useful performance and who has gone in again since. This looks a good opportunity for Minella Drama to open his account and it would be a bit of a surprise were he not to take his chance.

14:16 Equus Dancer

After winning his last two starts in bumpers, EQUUS DANCER’s exploits over hurdles last season proved somewhat disappointing. But, he showed much improved form when making a successful chasing debut over this course and distance recently, comfortably mastering the runner-up, who has come out and boosted the form since. Equus Dancer was hardly foot perfect on his first attempt over fences, suggesting there is better still to come from him and he makes plenty of appeal in his bid to follow up.

14:46 Let’s Sway

LET’S SWAY has slipped further and further down the weights over the last couple of seasons, but she took a big step back in the right direction when fifth at this venue last time, shaping better than the bare result – just collared late on after pulling clear on the home turn. This step back in trip ought to suit, and she is certainly of interest from a good mark.

15:16 Dobryn

There may be a little conjecture over the merit of DORBYN’s debut win at Hereford last time, the well-backed favourite making good progress when badly hampered and unseating entering the straight, but there was every chance that Sam Thomas’s charge would have won even without the events that unfolded behind him. Either way, he still pulled well clear of the rest, and with Thomas’s yard in such good nick at present, there is every chance Dorbyn can defy a penalty and go in again.
