Our GAA Ambassador,John Mullane has hit some mighty tips already this year, he’s keen to keep that wee sliotar rolling for one final time this Sunday for the All-Ireland Final between Limerick and Kilkenny.

All-Ireland Final: Limerick v Kilkenny Sunday, Jul 23 – 3:30pm
TV: RTE 2, BBC 1 Northern Ireland
A lot of the country were hoping for a trilogy of Limerick taking on Clare but we’ve gotten the next best thing to it in Limerick v Kilkenny for the All-Ireland Final. It’s set up absolutely lovely, Limerick are going for four in-a-row while Kilkenny, who achieved four in-a-row under former manager Brian Cody can stop them. There’s also the fact that Kilkenny have now lost three finals over recent years and they’re definitely not going to want to lose a fourth.
Both of these sides are at their best in Croke Park and both have the firepower and the physicality to go at each other. This is going to be a mouth-watering game.
Limerick To Win By 1-3 Points
Over recent weeks I think Limerick are just starting to get back to the Championship winning team we know. If the Treaty County bring their A-game or are anywhere near it, they’re going to be very, very difficult to beat.
On the flip side of that, if they are in any way off there is no better county in the country to capitalise on that than Kilkenny. There’s one sure thing on All-Ireland Final Day; Kilkenny will show up, they’ll perform, they’ll give everything, they’ll throw the kitchen sink at them, that’s why I believe Limerick are going to have to be at their best to achieve the four in-a-row.
From a Kilkenny point of view, they’ve got to stay in the game for as long as they can and try to bring it down the home straight. If they do that, we’re going to have one hell of a finale.
However, Limerick know how to grind out games and find a way to win. It’ll go down to the wire and I think Limerick are going to win by a margin of 1-3 points.
Eoin Cody First Goal Goalscorer
I’d have to go for Eoin Cody, I think he could rattle the net here. I’m expecting a big one from him at the weekend.
If Kilkenny pull it off, Adrian Mullen is going to have to have a big game and he’s very good odds here so I’d take a shot on him if there’s an upset.
Cian Lynch Man Of The Match
But if Limerick rise to the occasion again, Cian Lynch is a great shout.
For the player that he is – he’s been a two-time Hurler of the Year – there’s very little talk about him coming into this Final. Gearóid Hegarty and Aaron Gillane are getting plenty of attention but I wouldn’t rule out Cian Lynch being the Man of the Match. He’s had his injuries and he went up the Hogan Stand steps last season on crutches, so this could be a little bit of a fairytale story – 12 months later he could be star man in the All-Ireland final.
GAA Tips: There’s a 16/1 shot in John Mullane’s Limerick v Kilkenny All-Ireland Final punts
The Waterford hurling legend has found plenty value in the markets, including a tasty Man of the Match pick.
