Mayo v Galway – Mayo -1
Saturday, 19:30
TV: RTÉ
The early rounds of the Allianz League is very tough to call. A lot of guys in Sigerson Cup action, this week, and early next week, so will they be released? Tommy Conroy is one of those players that we’re unsure whether he’ll be allowed to play for Mayo.
Shane Walsh isn’t going to be available for Galway this weekend, a huge loss for the side.
On the balance of everything, with Mayo at home, I’m going to go with them to win this Connacht Derby.

Donegal v Kerry – Donegal +1
Sunday, 14:00
TV: TG4
It’s a tough start for the All-Ireland champions, heading up to Donegal. Ballybofey is a difficult place to go. It’s very hard to see the Clifford’s playing in this, there’s talks of Seán O’Shea being out injured, and you’ll probably have other guys being rested too.
On the other side of things, it’s the beginning of Donegal’s life without Michael Murphy. They’ve also got a fair few injuries going into this as well.
It definitely won’t be a game that you’d expect between the two in June or July, so for that reason I’m leaning towards Donegal. Home form is vital in the league, and Donegal have it.
Sligo v Laois – Sligo
Sunday, 14:00
This is a big game early in division four, because these are two teams that are really pushing for promotion.
I like the look of Sligo in division four this year, I have to say. Definitely having Laois at home to begin with is a good start for them. I’m going to go with a home win here as well.
