Liverpool legend and Paddy Power ambassador Phil Thompson is hoping for a miracle in Manchester City v Watford on Saturday at 3pm. The team from The Etihad are top of the table from Thommo’s beloved Reds by one point with six to play.
WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!
It would be a miracle if Watford were to get anything and City are massive favourites. Undeterred, Thommo’s managed to pluck out a big-priced score prediction and a handy goal-scorer punt, too. So, let’s take a look at Thommo’s Manchester City v Watford tips.
3pm: Manchester City v Watford
I wish I could say Watford have a chance but I just do not fancy them at all. I was so thrilled when City were at 0-0 with Brighton in the week but this Watford side have no chance.
They’ve lost five of their last six Premier League games, they’ve won only two of their last 20. Get this, if you want a scoring stat, Watford’s last 83 Premier League goals have come from inside the box!
Will they even get into the box against Manchester City? I doubt it with how good City are! Listen, it was a big win for City in midweek, going ahead of Liverpool and getting their first win in four games in all competitions.
They’ve lost just one of the last 22 games. I can go through all kinds of statistics for this but City have won their last 14 games against Watford, scoring 40 goals in their last nine games.
I’m going for a resounding victory, I’m going for City to Win 4-0 so they’re keeping a clean sheet. If you want a goal scorer I’ll go for Kevin De Bruyne to Score Anytime. He’s in fine form and has scored six in their last eight. It’s KDB for me.
