5.30pm: Derby v Swansea – Both Teams To Score? No

Say it quietly, but are Derby turning the corner? The Rams have been nothing short of pathetic for most of this season, but in their last five they’ve gone undefeated and even managed their second win of the season three back against Millwall, drawing the other four.

If you’re looking for entertainment then the Derby County iFollow stream is probably not the place for you. They’ve scored eight in 18 games, shipping 22 in the process. Their last five games have witnessed just five goals in total, with two 0-0 draws in their last two. They’re still down in 22nd with 13 points from two wins, seven losses and nine defeats. Both Teams To Score? No has come off in seven of their last 10 games.

Swansea will be on a high after picking up the South Wales bragging rights against Cardiff at the weekend and they’ll fancy their chances of making that two wins in a row on Wednesday night. But, Derby’s resurgence and their new-found hatred of conceding goals as well as scoring them is putting us off backing a Swans victory here.

Swansea generally keep it pretty tight and rarely batter teams, often recording narrow wins on their way to 3rd in the Championship with a haul of 33 points from nine wins, six draws and three defeats. Both Teams To Score? No has landed in seven of their last 10 as well and seems the safest way to go against a Derby side who have curled up into a ball to minimise the damage.

7.45pm: Blackburn v Rotherham – Blackburn win and Over 2.5 Goals

Flat track bullies Blackburn will be looking forward to another chance to slay a side in the bottom half of The Championship this midweek. Tony Mobray’s men have taken just one point from their games against sides above them in the second tier this season, but 24 against teams below.

It’s hardly surprising then, they’re slap bang right in the middle of the division in 12th, despite being the league’s second-most prolific scorers. They have conceded the most in the top half and turn up to this one without a win in three and facing a Rotherham outfit buoyed by a surprise win against Bristol City at the weekend.

The Millers are right in Rovers’s sweet spot – 20th – with 16 points from their 18 games. Before that coupon buster on Saturday they had gone six without a win, picking up just one point in the process.

They are dreadful away from home and have avoided defeat on just three occasions this season. Blackburn have lost just three at home. Both sides are pretty open and Blackburn to Win and Over 2.5 Goals feels like a nice play with some good value given Rovers’ goal tallies this term.

8pm: Reading v Norwich – Both Teams to Score No Draw

This one could go any which way. However, I think I’ve found a route that could prove fruitful while remining firmly on the fence. The Canaries sit at the top of The Championship tree with 37 points from 11 wins, four draws and three losses.

Reading have stabilised themselves after falling from the perch of the second tier and lurk menacingly outside the automatic promotion places in fifth with 10 wins, three draws and five losses. They’ve won three, drawn one and lost one in their last five.

8pm: Reading v Norwich
Sky Sports Football

Norwich boast the same record over the last five but have won their last three in a row. Between them these two have drawn just seven of their combined 36 matches. There’s been plenty of goals at both ends for these two with Norwich averaging 2.33 per game and Reading averaging 2.72, leading us to a combined average of 2.52.

Both of these sides like to attack and BTTS has come off in six of Reading’s last 10 and seven of Norwich’s games over the same timeframe. Given the lack of draws occurring when Reading and Norwich take to the field, and if we expect the trend of plenty of action at both ends of the pitch, then Both Teams To Score No Draw could be a great angle.
