PGMOL to release ‘Now That’s What I Call A F***ing Disgrace’ VAR compilation for Christmas

Can't wait to get my hands on the 12" remix of "Well Done Lads, Good Process"

Referees’ supremo Howard Webb has revealed that a new album, featuring some of the best VAR audio from Stockley Park, will be in the shops ahead of the Christmas rush.

“Now That’s What I Call a F***ing Disgrace Volume One” is a two CD boxed set which will also be available on most streaming platforms.

The controversial album, which is understood to have been given the thumbs-up by the Premier League, should be available by the end of this month.

A spokesperson for the PGMOL told us:

“It is four years since VAR was introduced into the Premier League and we thought we would celebrate by giving fans the chance to relive some of their favourite moments. We hope it will prove to be a great stocking filler.

“VAR is the best thing to happen in football since the back pass was outlawed as it has now made referees the centre of attention.

“Thanks to VAR, refs can now charge astronomical prices on the after-dinner circuit.”

Paddy Power News has been given an exclusive first look at the playlist and some of the highlights include:

  • Michael Salisbury’s decision to allow Manchester United keeper Andre Onana’s last minute assault on Wolves’ Sasa Kalajdzic to go unpunished at Old Trafford.
  • Lee Mason probably contributing to Arsenal losing the title last season, by forgetting to draw lines on the pitch against Brentford.
  • Mike Dean’s inexperience in, as Louis van Gaal put it, “sex masochism” which allowed Harry Kane to equalise late on at Stamford Bridge.
  • Frank Lampard’s meltdown after Chris Kavanagh failed to award his Everton side a penalty at Goodison Park against Man City.
  • THAT goal from Anthony Gordon against Arsenal at St James’ Park

and of course

  • Darren “I was suffering from jet lag, honest!” England who for reasons known only to himself, disallowed a perfectly good goal by Liverpool’s Luiz Diaz against Spurs at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

There will also be some limited-edition vinyl box-sets available which will include a notebook and pencil, red and yellow cards and an “Anthony Taylor is Innocent” t-shirt.

We wanted to gauge the managers opinion on the forthcoming release and we managed to track down Mikel Arteta, who is currently enjoying the international break by spending time with his family back in Spain.

The Arsenal boss wasn’t prepared to comment although he did tell us that “At least they got the title right.”
