Football Tips: 4 to score in our 10/1 international acca on Thursday

The Nations League is honing into view again and we're on the hunt for more value on Thursday.

Joachim Low Luis Enrique

UEFA’s Nations League restarts this week and Germany taking on Spain tops the bill for Thursday night’s action. There’s plenty of other matches as well and all of the teams involved will want to make a good start to the campaigns. We’ve had a look at the pick of the games to find some value in the markets.

19:45 Germany vs Spain: Both Teams to Score

Somewhat surprisingly, fixtures between Germany and Spain haven’t produced many goals. In their three last meetings over the last ten years, only four goals were scored – two each for both teams.

Both teams have been in incredible form though, Germany have won seven, drawn two and lost one of their last 10 matches in all competitions while Spain have won eight and drawn two over their 10 most previous matches.

Both sides though will have an unfamiliar look about them. German manager Jogi Low will be without all of the Bayern Munich German players who just recently won the Champions League.

Their new signing Leroy Sane will be in the squad though. Luis Enrique’s Spain will probably start with Barcelona’s Ansu Fati and new Leeds United forward Rodrigo leading the line.

Both teams will be featuring players who will be trying to impress their managers and stake a claim for a regular starting berth and while that could mean some players taking more risks, it can have the opposite effect as both teams will feature inexperienced players.

We should see some goals here but we’re going to play it safe here and go with Both Teams to Score.

19:45 Ukraine vs Switzerland: Ukraine to Win

Ukraine are a formidable side at home, they’ve now gone 10 home matches since last losing and thanks to a good outing in the last Nations League they were promoted from League B to League A.

Switzerland are a decent side as well though it must be said. They made it into the semi finals of the competition last time out and smashed Belgium 5-2 when they met in the deciding match that saw them qualify for the final stages.

Both teams will be eager to make a strong start here as they both face tough tests against Germany and Spain down the line but it must be said that Switzerland aren’t great on their travels.

They lost to Denmark and Portugal and could only draw with Ireland in three out of their last four away matches. Thanks to that patchy away form we’re going to go with the hosts Ukraine to Win here.

Aleksandar Mitrovic

19:45 Russia vs Serbia: Both Teams to Score

Both teams come into this match on a good run of form with both teams having won four out of their five most recent matches. Serbia’s attack though would strike fear into even the best of the international teams as Luka Jovic, Dusan Tadic and Aleksandar Mitrovic will be leading the line for the away side.

The bad news for Russia is that Alexander Kokorin will miss the match but Stanislav Cherchesov’s players will have the advantage of having more game time under their belts than their Serbian counterparts thanks to the Russian Premier League being six games into the season. It only took a two week break between last season ending and this one starting as well.

Serbia has the better players on paper but Russia’s players should be sharper. This one is very tough to call so we’re going with Both Teams to Score here again.

19:45 Turkey vs Hungary: Turkey to Win

This should be the most one-sided of Thursday night’s matches. The home side are very good at home, they’ve lost just one of their last 10 in Turkey while Hungary are pretty miserable on their travels having won just one of their last 10 on the road.

Turkey love a Clean Sheet as well, over those 10 home matches they only conceded two goals, we’re tempted by the Win to Nil for the home side but Hungary have scored in five out of 10 recent away matches so we’re going to just go with Turkey to Win here.

All of these picks in a four-fold Acca will give you odds of around 10/1.
