Watch: Scotland fan to get Coldplay tattoo on his a**e after Twitter boast

Chris Martin’s goal has made one supporter regret his social media postings big time…

Twitter can be a strange place at times and when you add long suffering Scotland fans into the mix, it can get even weirder.

Fulham’s Chris Martin scored an 88th minute winner for Scotland in their crucial 1-0 World Cup qualifier victory over Slovenia at Hampden Park, netting the goal only six minutes after to coming onto to jeers from the stands.

His treatment by Scotland supporters has been criticised from pillar-to-post in the media, but that didn’t stop fans piling into the striker on social media – including a certain Callum Strang from Fife.

Fans of the Tartan Army feel Martin – who shares his name with the lead singer from Coldplay (that will become important in a minute) – has not performed in his appearances for the national side. That was until last Sunday of course.

Callum was so disillusioned with Martin’s substitution that he tweeted the following:

All the best odds on International Football are on

That’s right, he promised to get Coldplay’s ‘Viva La Vida’ tattooed on his backside if Martin found the net and the inevitable happened.

Strang post was massively shared after the goal and now he’s got no choice but to follow through with his boast, much to the angst of his beloved mother.

At least he’s taking the news in good spirits and appeared on Sky Sports News yesterday to explain himself to the world.

Be careful what you post folks, it might just come back to bite you in the…

What do you think?
