Aussie Open: Make it a G’day with this 13/1 Treble from the Traders

Things are starting to hot up in Melbourne. Well, the action's hotting up, it's already roasting temperature wise - you know what we mean!

Hyeon Chung v Alexander Zverev: Back Chung to win 1st set @ 5/4

An Under-21 affair down under kicks off our treble and see’s two of the brightest ATP NextGen stars go head to head in the third round. Next Gen ATP Finals winner Hyeon Chung faces the towering fourth seed, Alexander Zverev, a match which has the potential to be tie of the round. The Korean (South….) beat the gangly German in straight sets in Barcelona earlier this year and despite being underdog here again we fancy Chung to start brightly and take the first set at the generous price of 5/4.

Juan Martín del Potro v Tomás Berdych: Back del Potro (Game Handicap) -3.5  @5/4

Two big serving veterans come head to head in a mouthwatering tie so early in the tournament. Delpo overcame injury concerns to dispatch talented Russian, Karen Khachanov, yesterday and we fancy him to do the same again to Czech Tomás Berdych. These two have clashed eight times in the past with the hard-hitting Argentine boasting a 5-3 record, the most recent of those coming on hard court in 2017. 32 year-old Berdych is showing visible signs of aging in his game and was very disappointing in the latter ends of last season. Have no doubts which way this one will go – Del boy to win -3.5 games.

Angelique Kerber v Maria Sharapova: Back Kerber to win (Set Betting) 2-0 @7/4

Former world number one Kerber is showing glimpses of the scintillating form which saw her reach three grand slam finals in 2016 and prevail here in Melbourne to win her maiden slam. She faces the controversial Russian Maria Sharapova, a decade on from her victorious 2008 campaign here. The two 30 year-olds have only met twice in the last four years with the German coming out on top in both of those. We feel that since Kerber appointed her new coach Wim Fisette at the end of 2017, she’s simply got too much in her locker for the Russian and fancy her to see it out in straight sets.
