I’m a Celebrity 2020: Paddy tips this year’s series to move to Scotland – if it isn’t postponed

A change of attire will be required.

I’m A Celebrity contestants may need to prepare to swap bikinis in the shower for thermal undies, as we’ve priced up where in the UK the show could be filmed this year. We’ve installed Scotland (2/1) as their most likely British destination for the 2020 series, where there would be plenty of rural locations for producers to choose from.

In fact, the odds of the series being moved from Down Under to any location closer to home are just 4/1. Decent bet that.

In at second favourite to welcome contestants is Wales (5/1), with wild Welsh island Bardsey Island in at a tempting double-figure price of 20/1. The Lake District (8/1) and Devon (12/1) are also in the running, though it’s rated much less likely that producers will opt to record the show in a city. Unsurprisingly, London (16/1) is seen as the most likely option should they choose to do so, followed by Manchester (20/1) and Liverpool (25/1).

Though the odds of this year’s series, which usually airs in November, being postponed altogether this year are short, at 6/4.

Surely Ant and Dec will find a way, no?

We’re well accustomed to seeing I’m A Celebrity contestants in warm weather in Australia, but this year could be very different. If Scotland gets the nod, contestants can expect beautiful remote landscapes, several more layers of clothing worn and hopefully the chance of a battered Mars bar.
