But this savvy sort wasn’t waiting on an Edinson Cavani last-minute winner or Wolves card supremacy over Arsenal to be confirmed in the evening kick-off to lock-in a life-changing win.
Oh no, not on your nelly.
Rather, this newly-minted quarter-millionaire made their fortune with a fab fivefold on Sunday’s evening’s Daily Millions lottery draw in Ireland – yes, in case you’re living in 1995, just a reminder that you can bet on the lottery numbers now rather than playing the draw itself.
Also, those boy band-wannabe curtains you’ve grown will never look good. Ever.
Sunday evening’s draw saw this shrewdie, who only recently opened her account and is mainly a football and racing punter, nail five of the six winning balls – 2, 5. 8, 9, 25 and 30 if you want to check your ticket now – in the Daily Millions main draw.
Staggeringly, that would’ve paid out just €500 (in tears just thinking about it here) if they’d played the same numbers in the lottery draw itself.
