If you calculate all of the possible outcomes of all the games in Week 18, you get a number close to nine figures.

And yet for all the uncertainty in the world that nobody can really know anything, I assure you that Kansas City and Jacksonville fans are going into this final run of games in the regular season totally convinced that the Chiefs will be winning and the Jags somehow will find a way to lose.

The power of sporting repetition is like nothing else on this planet.

And going into this week, there are tonnes of permutations still up in the air. So much so, that they’ve had to split the days.

Our focus is on Saturday and solely on the AFC. The Chiefs will claim top seed now if they can see off the challenge, and I say that loosely, of the Las Vegas Raiders.

While the AFC South is down to a one-game shootout between the Jags and the Titans. It really does get the pulses racing. doesn’t it?

And to think we’re being given this level of excitement before Sunday? You really are spoiling us, Mr. Goodell.

Here’s your multi-game bet builder to make you almost enough money to be able to afford a hot dog in either of these stadiums.

Kansas City Chiefs @ Las Vegas Raiders – Under 52.5 Points

The Chiefs win and they’re the #1 seed. That much is certain.

Regardless of the issues with the Bills or any of that, if KC wins, it’s certain that they’re getting homefield advantage for the Divisional Round.

That’ll be their focus.

What’s certain is that KC will be full-strength and looking to win this game, which may not have been the case had results fallen differently.

And while I understand these two offences are high-powered, I also need you to understand that divisional games are more attritional than that.

The Chiefs have seen the line move over 52 points in just three of their last nine games, while the Raiders are starting a backup QB.

I’d ask you to temper expectations.

Josh Jacobs to Score Anytime

And alluding more to that, Stidham might have looked good in his first start but that is so often a fallacy we fall into.

Stidham looked good because nobody had any idea what he was capable of. The 49ers, who are the best defence in the NFL, couldn’t help but be picked apart because they didn’t know what this dude was like.

Now with his exploits available for Chiefs defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo to ponder, he’ll likely be handing the ball off far more.

Jacobs is the play here.

Tennessee Titans @ Jacksonville Jaguars – Titans +6.5

Franchises attract luck.

I cannot explain this but it’s the unwritten rule of the NFL. Bad franchises historically take a long time to overcome inexplicable losses and that element of inevitability lingers beyond all welcome.

Now, the Jacksonville Jaguars should have their time and their AFC South title.

But my God, going up against a team coached by the only successful disciple of Bill Belichick is one hell of a way to prove you’re past the recent failures.

I wouldn’t be counting on it.

Joshua Dobbs – Over 182.5 Passing Yards

It’s more the situation than the player.

Tennessee, like Jacksonville, have to get to a win.

And given that Tennessee are likely to have to put up points to keep up with Big Trevor Lawrence, the chances are that they’ll have to push the ball down the field at some point.

It ends up in one of two situations – where every series becomes a four-down job, or where Jacksonville play soft coverage and allow easy completions.

Both result in Dobbs flinging.
