13:15 – Haydock – Clarendon House
Clarendon House took a massive step forward from his reappearance at York and we have every reason to think he can rubberstamp the Epsom form just seven days ago. Hopefully, jockey Niall Callan has read the script as the stands rail seems the place to be and he can cross and clear the field from his low position in box two.
13:50 – Haydock – Mr Wagyu
Mr Wagyu did incredibly well at Epsom to hold on for third place after forcing the early pace, which was extremely strong. The winner Badri came from the clouds to get the better of that three-way photo late on. Now back at a track that he clearly likes, Mr Wagyu can carry top weight to a first success this season.

14:05 – Beverley – Midnight Affair
Was very unlucky not to make a winning debut at headquarters 36 days ago. Once that opportunity had gone Midnight Affair didn’t get an overly hard time and she was allowed to coast up the hill for a comfortable second place finish. She is going to be a short price but can make amends now.
14:25 – Haydock – Cosmic Desert (each-way)
Comes from a small but select stable in Newmarket, who wouldn’t have many passed through their hands with a £100,000 price tag, but that’s what Cosmic Desert cost at the horses in training sale. We surely haven’t seen the best of him yet and runners from this outfit don’t normally need the outing. He rates are big each-way player
14:40 – Beverley – Floral Splendour
Looks to have been handed the perfect starting stall in box two, with the two market leaders drawn down on her right-hand side. Floral Splendour will be able to get a perfect tow into the contest and has dropped to a handy mark of 68 and wasn’t given a hard time when her chance had gone over the long sprint distance at York last time, when also racing on the unfavoured part of the track.

15:00 – Haydock – Time Lock
Roger Charlton’s runner already has some fantastically strong form in the book. When Time Lock made her reappearance 36 days ago, the Charlton team was having a very poor run of form so she did well to finish second. The yard appear in better form now with a recent winner at Yarmouth and she can provide her stable with another walk to the winner’s circle.
15:15 – Beverley – Room Service
Kevin Ryan’s runner was a big price when winning on his debut at Wetherby, but there was no fluke about it. The form looks strong with the second already posting a tidy speed figure. Room Service chopped and changed his legs when asked for maximum effort and will be much more the finished article now. He will need to be in this line up but can prevail.
15:35 – Haydock – The Wizard Of Eye
Despite six tries at 7f The Wizard Of Eye has never gotten what I believe are his ideal, quick-ground conditions. He’s not one dimensional from a tactics point of view and at Group One level at Newbury he travelled as just about the best in that contest before not lasting home over the extra furlong.
