FRENCH PARADOXE is a progressive 8yo who scored at Wetherby on seasonal debut in November and looked sure to follow up before last-fence fall at Ffos Las last month. Has to take a 7lb rise on the chin but might still be improving. Major player.

It’s disappointing that SHE’S A SAINT failed favourite backers at Taunton last month but that was a Listed event and she was 6l ahead of Poetic Music when runner-up at the same level the time before at Newbury. Hard to knock.
20:00 Southwell – Another Angel (Postdata)
It has been a long time since the last of ANOTHER ANGEL’s seven wins, all achieved over 5f at Newcastle, but he is down in the weights and didn’t run badly in a well-contested 0-55 at Newcastle last week.
