12:10 Weveallbeencaught

WEVEALLBEENCAUGHT shaped encouragingly when third in the Ballymore Novices’ Hurdle at this course in November, doing his best work late on to pass the post around 10 lengths behind the winner. That was a particularly good run for a horse having their first start over hurdles and the form he showed there comfortably sets the standard now back in maiden company. He has a bright future and should be able to get off the mark here before stepping back up in grade.

12:45 Farinet

FARINET proved better than ever when making a successful reappearance at Chepstow last month, clearly relishing the step up to three miles as he made all to win by eight lengths. He was value for plenty extra having been heavily eased on the run-in and his strength at the finish suggests the even longer trip today won’t be an issue. A 10 lb hike in the weights will make life tougher, but he is fancied to prove equal to the task in his follow-up bid.

13:20 Thunder Rock

THUNDER ROCK made it two from two over fences with an easy victory at Ascot in November, hitting the front before the last and keeping going well from there to win by eight and a half lengths. That was a smart performance to defy a BHA mark of 142 and it’s highly unlikely that we’ve seen the best of him just yet. Beaten only three times in 10 starts under Rules, he is certainly worth a try at this level and won’t give up his unbeaten record over fences without a fight.

13:55 Brave Seasca

BRAVE SEASCA resumed his progress after nine months off with an impressive win at Aintree last time, quickening clear between the final two flights and always doing enough after that to win by a length and three-quarters (eased down close home). This will be tougher now up in grade from a 9 lb higher mark, but it’s not out of the question that he may yet have more to offer given his unexposed profile. He could have graded races on his agenda again in the spring and is fancied to prove himself a high-class chaser by defying top weight to win this valuable handicap.

14:30 I Like To Move It

I LIKE TO MOVE IT produced a career-best effort when making a successful return to action in the Greatwood Hurdle at this course in November, ultimately winning by five and a half lengths having responded well to assert in the final furlong. He has raced exclusively at around two miles but leaves the impression this longer trip won’t be an issue. A tough and genuine sort, he has the best form and promises to be a tough nut to crack in a good renewal of this Grade 2.

15:05 Abuffalosoldier

ABUFFALOSOLDIER showed much improved form to resume winning ways on just his second handicap start at Newbury in November, looking well suited by the step up in trip as he edged ahead in the final 100 yards to win by three quarters of a length. The runner-up gave that form a boost when winning at Wincanton on Boxing Day and Abuffalosoldier is only 6 lb higher in the weights this time. Still totally unexposed as a stayer, he remains very much one to be interested in.

15:40 Dancing In Brazil

DANCING IN BRAZIL showed plenty of ability when making a successful debut at Huntingdon a few weeks ago, drawing clear from a furlong out to win by three and a half lengths in comfortable fashion. Five other first-time-out winners feature among the opposition, but none of them created an impression like Dancing In Brazil, who is fancied to take the step up in grade in his stride to maintain his unbeaten record.
