WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!

12:20 – Crambo

CRAMBO created a good impression last season, winning both of his starts in bumpers at Huntingdon, and he can be marked up for his latest success given how much ground he made up from the rear in a falsely-run race. He is bred to excel over hurdles and he looks a good prospect this season. Boom Boom and Broughshane are other interesting hurdle newcomers, while Holetown Hero and Awaythelad should build on encouraging opening efforts in this sphere.

12:55 – Thunder Rock

There are some nice prospects on show here and THUNDER ROCK took his form to a new level when making a winning start over fences at Uttoxeter last month. He was given a patient ride and jumped adequately, still having plenty of ground to make up down the back straight but proved himself well ahead of his mark given the manner of his success. The step up in trip will suit now and he still looks well treated up 7 lb. Solo and Garry Clermont both have better days ahead of them too in this sphere and can chase home the selection.

13:30 – Kandoo Kid

KANDOO KID progressed in bumpers last season, opening his account at Taunton in April 2021, and he overcame inexperience to make a winning start over hurdles over this course and distance later that year. That form has worked out well and, though he has seemingly had his problems since, he could hardly be in better hands, so is fully expected to make another bold bid on his return from 12 months off. Persian Time, a notable recruit from points, and Diyaken on his Britsh debut, are both worth monitoring in the betting.

14:05 – Do Your Job

DO YOUR JOB was let down by an uncharacteristic error just as the race was taking shape on his comeback in the Old Roan at Aintree, but he is a horse to remain positive about this season, and is well worth another chance with his sights lowered. Revels Hill is a chaser to keep on the right side of given how he ended last season and is another to consider, along with Espoir de Guye, who has won on his reappearance for the last two seasons, including this race two years ago.

14:40 – Kapga De Lily

A good record when fresh provides hope that KAPGA DE LILY might be able to repeat last year’s success in this contest. Admittedly, the Venetia Williams yard is yet to hit top form, but Kapga de Lily may have more to offer over fences and will remain of interest. Cat Tiger is another who was seen to good effect over course and distance last season and he may provide the main threat.

15:15 – Get Back Get Back

GET BACK GET BACK looked an improved model when scoring impressively on his return at Kempton earlier this month, going without cheekpieces and displaying a nice turn of foot in the closing stages. Harry Fry’s seven-year-old looks the way to go before his new mark kicks in (due to be 5 lb higher). The likeable Onemorefortheroad heads the list of dangers now he reverts to his optimum trip, while Gipsy de Choisel is another to note.

15:50 – Sporting Ace

SPORTING ACE was impressive on hurdling debut and lost little in defeat to a highly-promising rival in a novice at Exeter last time. An opening mark of 116 might underestimate him and he’s fancied to get the better of Betterforeveryone, who opened his account at Bangor despite jumping none too fluently and should improve again. The Questioner boasts a steadily progressive profile, so he’s also worthy of interest.
