14:10 – Champ Is Real

Lastofthecosmics has been runner-up on his last three starts and should be in the mix once more, but he’s hard to win with and a chance is taken on CHAMP IS REAL from 11lb out of the handicap. He was placed in 3m points and could leave his hurdle form miles behind now upped in trip for his chase and handicap debut. Celtic Dancer and Emirat De Catana are others to consider.

14:45 – Diamond State

Lucinda Russell has two big chances and the admirably consistent DIAMOND STATE is preferred over Bollingerandkrug, who is on a handy mark now back over hurdles. I’m To Blame returned to form to beat Diamond State last time and is also respected, along with the unexposed handicap newcomer River Walk.

15:55 – Bridge Road

Lots with chances but it could be worth taking a chance on handicap debutant BRIDGE ROAD, whose final qualifying effort was a step in the right direction and, given the stamina in his pedigree, 2m was never going to be his trip. Rickety Gate could be the main danger, ahead of Go Bob Go.

17:00 – Harel Du Marais

Stuart Crawford has a healthy strike-rate in British bumpers and HAREL DU MARAIS could be a different proposition than on his sole point start, when he was a remote fourth when falling two out. Sedgefield winner Sweet Auburn is an obvious danger, while newcomers Neigh Botha and Scottish Wind have potential in their pedigrees.

Musselburgh betting tips:

14:10 – Champ Is Real
14:45 – Diamond State
15:55 – Bridge Road
17:00 – Harel Du Marais
