11:45 Now Where Or When

A tricky opener with not much to separate a lot of these on hurdle form and several make their chase debut here. NOW WHERE OR WHEN shaped with enough promise on his first start over fences when a distant runner-up at Down Royal to suggest he may be able to go one better here. Cherif De L’isle is feared having achieved more than most in here over hurdles and Josh D’id may improve from his chase debut behind the selection last month.

12:15 Handsworth

A competitive race. The likes of Hardy Bloke needs a market check while other handicap debutants Norwigi and Conquredalofeurope make appeal. School Lane will appreciate stepping back up in trip but the one to be on could well be HANDSWORTH who finally got off the mark at Navan last month from a horse that franked the form handsomely at Leopardstown.

12:50 Daly Tiger

Competitive for a small-field event but DALY TIGER is the solid option. He’s achieved much more over fences than hurdles but he made a winning return to this sphere last time out and with this shorter trip in his favour, he could be hard to beat. Annamix takes a sizeable drop in class and could be involved if he handles this drop in trip. Indigo Breeze and Autumn Evening are both going the right way over hurdles and Top Moon is capable of having a say if the switch back to hurdles sparks a revival.

13:24 Bold Approach

Whowonthetoss sets a reasonable standard on form and Run For Pat was a big eyecatcher on debut but it might be worth taking a chance on BOLD APPROACH. He was a useful sort on the Flat for Jim Bolger and he showed some promise on his only hurdle start last season. Innovated is another nice prospect to keep an eye on.

13:57 My Design

Some nice prospects in here, notably point winner Secret She Keeps who looked promising on her Rules bow last month and French recruit Hauturiere who should improve from her debut for Willie Mullins in December. However, MY DESIGN seems to be getting better with each run and she only found a nice prospect too good last time. Beth Horan is another to consider after a big run on return from a long lay off last time out.

14:32 Daily Present (NAP)

Some sub-plots here and one or two are worth watching for future reference. Having run a cracker on his hurdles debut at Naas last month, DAILY PRESENT (nap) can get off the mark here at the principal expense of Amirite and Prevaricate.

15:08 Brandy Harbour

Not many of these seem to count. Top-weight Autumn Crusade and Limerick runner-up Global Mayhem have clear chances, but if BRANDY HARBOUR can come close to taking advantage of his lower hurdles mark he should win this.

15:42 Artic Ambition

Courting Vickie will go close if reproducing her Punchestown run while there must be a day somewhere in I Don’t Get It, but off a 12lb lower mark over hurdles, ARCTIC AMBITION will be hard to beat after his Tramore win with the stable in fine form.
