There is an open look to this staying handicap and preference is for GARDEN PARADISE (nap), who is very interesting upped again in trip and freshened up, with the potential to do a bit better. Crimson King could be dangerous if acting on this surface, while Chipiron and Champagne Terri merit respect.

This looks likely to concern chiefly Aasser, who made a good debut over C&D recently, and SIR WINSTON. The latter began to warm to his task in the closing stages at Newcastle and may be capable of going one better this time. Mickey Free perhaps looks the most interesting newcomer, while Total Lockdown may be capable of battling for minor honours.

The standard set by SILENT SPEECH’s debut run looks a tall order for his opponents, so a repeat or better should make him very tough to beat. King Of War could emerge as his most serious challenger now upped in trip, while Macchiavello can pick up some prize-money. Pyledriver’s half-brother Stockpyle is a newcomer who is worth a market check.

Unexposed 3yo Saleymm bolted up on his AW debut and it could be that the handicapper has underestimated him but this will provide a much stiffer test of his credentials. Summa Peto is 2-2 at this track and should make another bold bid but ON A SESSION has the ability to win off this mark and his one previous AW effort was an excellent second over C&D in the spring.

A wider draw than ideal may count against Well Prepared who otherwise has fair claims at this level. Million Reasons will be a danger to all if he stays, while Beau Geste (second on the list) and No Diggity also have something to recommend them. INEXPLICABLE took well to the first-time visor here 24 days ago, though, and he is taken to gain his third course win of the year.
17:35 Can Can Girl
His sire’s record here is a positive for the unexposed Victory Star so he is worth a second look, but this race could be truly run and that would be to the benefit of King Charles and CAN CAN GIRL. Preference is for the latter who has been raised just 2lb for her Newcastle success 13 days ago.
